I just can't figure out how to export my MIDI file with all the temp changes. Is there a way I can export the MIDI file while keeping all the tempo changes?

All tempo changes must be done after all MIDI and Audio tracks have been recorded.

This articles covers exporting a MIDI file that retains the tempo changes.

1) Create a desktop folder

2) Highlight all MIDI events within the track and press G key

3) Click HOLD and drag to the folder in the S1 Browser folder you just created

4) A box will open with 2 options, a music loop and a standard MIDI file

5) Before releasing click press ALT to key to move the x in the box to the ‘MIDI file’ selection of the two options

(Alternative method: Right clicking the MIDI file before exporting will give you the same options)

1) Open the new song

2) Establish the tempo changes that you want in the new song

3) Drag the saved MIDI file that you just created from the folder in the S1 browser onto a track

4) The MIDI file will automatically adjust to the tempo changes in the new song

5) A MIDI file will not change the tempo data of a song. The tempo data is part of the song and not the MIDI file. However MIDI files do contain tempo data if used as the core of a new song.

If this is the case then you’ll need to create the MIDI file and use the ALT key to stretch the tempo.
