Mac book pro 2016-17 version (latest model).

Latest os-x

Studio one 3 version 3.3.3.41198 OS X 64x

Alesis V161 keyboard

Also, I DO NOT HAVE a separate midi devise.

Ok, Im new to this so Ill try to explain. I added my keyboard under new devise in the home menu then opened a new song title "key test". I then opened Mojito- Clavinet. Within that I went to setting and opened the instrument interface. Thats where the problem begins. When I click the keys in the interface they make noise. When I physically tap the keys on the key board there is no noise. What am I doing wrong? Also, how do I map the beat pad on the keyboard?

First thing you need to do is make sure that your keyboard was added the right way. Just youtube it and youll find plenty of videos that show you how to properly set up a midi/usb keyboard. after you do that mak sure your song set up also has the keyboard added. Lastly when you start using studio one ( and your keyboard is set up), look at the lower left corner and you can see the midi activity if its working you'll see an input for every time you press a key. And as for the pads one you set up your keyboard hit me up again and ill explain the pads.
