Can't record when using mouse in instruments like MaiTai

I have a Nektar LX49 which I normally use as a keyboard controller.

I have Studio One 3 installed on a laptop which I brought to a friends place to show him how it worked.

I did not bring my LX49 along. So when I tried to record instruments, like MaiTai, I could hear the sounds but could not record them.

Got home and tried it on my system which has Studio One 3 Pro. Same thing. Using the LX49 records just fine. Using the mouse to tap on the MaiTai keys, and nothing.

Not sure what is going on, but I suspect it's a simple configuration issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

John

Use the Studio One Qwerty Keyboard device.   Studio One's instruments do not record from clicking their piano keys.

In addition to the most effective solution by PreSonuSupt4, you can also record by clicking the keys on the piano roll when you want to record with your mouse at all cost.
