Question

I am using the Studio One 3.2 artist version. The audiobox I am using is a ********* UMC202HD because I'm a teenager who needed to choose the cheaper route instead of a Studio One box. The microphone is hooked up to the audiobox using an XLR cable and the box is plugged into my PC with a USB cable. I downloaded the driver software I needed off of *********'s website for my specific audiobox but when I open Studio One and go to the devices drop down menu, my audiobox does not show up. Only Windows Internal Mic and ASIO. I also am new to recording and don't know what I'm talking about so please be nice upon answering my question :-)

1. Update Studio One to version 3.3.3 via menu Help > Check for Updates

2. Make sure your computer operating system is fully updated.

3. Make sure you install the latest drivers for that device from the manufacturer.

4. If on Windows, go to Control Panel > Device Manager (with the device plugged in and powered on) and see if there are any warning symbols on it indicating that there is an issue with it.  If on Mac see if creating an aggregate driver for it helps any.

5. See if it shows up for use in any other audio software.

6. If all else fails, contact that manufacturer's tech support.
