Cannot update!

I have the exact same issue. And the point is that I "Cannot" update because of these problems. The updater would not complete so suggesting that we should be at 1.3.8 doesn't help. (Also separately when I click on that link I get a message saying I'm not authorized to see the page) When setting up with protools the previous guy stated did exactly what your link told him to do already, as have I, but we did not get the option for "faderport" but "faderport update mode" which isn't working. Any help with these specific problems would be much appreciated.

FaderPort - How do I set up my FaderPort in Pro Tools?

How do I set up my FaderPort in Pro Tools?

The FaderPort is supported in Pro Tools through HUI emulation mode. There is no software installation necessary. Once you have connected your FaderPort, launch ProTools to set up the FaderPort as a HUI device

*NOTE: See here for info on HUI mode functionality

1. Go to Setups | Peripherals

2. Create one HUI device under MIDI Controllers

3. Set the Receive From and Send To options to “Faderport”. # Ch's should be set to 8. Click Ok.

4.  Some versions of Pro Tools may (Windows systems) may require you to enable the following options inside of your Peripherals area.  These options should not change any interaction on Mac systems as well:

MTC Synchronization requires adding "Faderport [Emulated]" mode:

MIDI Machine Control should be enabled to read "Faderport [Emulated]" with default values selected.

Your FaderPort is now ready to use. Enjoy!
