Powering up Eris E8 monitors from a power strip

It is a nuisance having to reach across my desk to access the power switch on the back of my new Eris E8 monitors. Would it be ok to leave them on connected to a power strip and switch them on and off from the power strip?

I have been powering all of my monitors from a Furman comditioner switch for over a year with no issues.
