Hello,

I've contacted support regarding this issue, and they helped me pretty good but I'm still not satisfied so I'm hoping to find an answer from someone within the community.

The issue is that I opened one of my projects that was working fine till that day, but now the CPU spikes to 100% instantly. When I was working on the project before it used around 50-75% at maximum with a lot of tracks, plug-ins and VSTs.

I tried starting a new, empty, project with a few plug-ins and no VST's loaded, only a few external synths, and even then the CPU is around 50% while idle.

Nothing has changed in my set-up, except that maybe Windows 10 (x64) has updated, but I can't remember that did.

Any help is appriciated, thanks in advance!

I'm having the same issue. A whole proyect almost done was working OK a couple of days ago. I finished last Win 10 x64 upgrade today and now audio is running with lots of "clicks". Version running is 3.3.

I'm a little bit desperate because I need to finish this proyect and begin a new one tomorow.

I've already tested version 3.5.1 in a second computer and saw CPU works better, but due to the lack of retrocompatibility between both versions, I was hoping to finish my running project before major SO upgrading.

Stereo files play OK through any Windows player, but multitrack's StudioOne don't.

I suspect this problem has to do do with the last Windows upgrade. I'll try to go backward and see what happens.

Maybe Studio 192 driver problem?

Keep in contact.

El Cadero, thanks for your reply. I checked if my PC was updated, but thats not the case. I tried deleting a certain folder Presonus told me to, but even that didn't help.

I have a template with some plugins for processing the audio (EQ, Saturation etc.) and some plug-ins sky rocket to 11% while idle. These arent very fancy plugins, like Fabfilter Saturn, Fabfilter Pro-L, ValhallaRoom and ArtsAcoustic Reverb. I use no weird settings like over-sampling, and I even turned the quality where possible from Ultra/High to the bare minimum and no changes at all in the usage of CPU...
