Question

Immediately after i open the Studio 192 template at 192KHZ, my cpu goes to 65-70% constant, and jumps around there very fast.   im running a late 2011 Mac book pro with a 2.8GHz i7 processor, 8GB ram and 1 TB SSHD.

if i open as 96 it runs at about 50%.

any ideas?

It runs at that level because you are trying to record at 192Khz.  Try a lower sample rate to get better processing speed.  A higher speed processor and more RAM would help resolve your issues.
