Can you use a faderport 8 to control studio live software?

I am interested in upgrading my mixing board, and I considering purchasing a Studio Live Series 3 24 for front of house sound.  I would like to use one of mix outputs for internet broadcasting and control that mix with studio live software.  It would be great to use the FaderPort 8 in conjunction with studio live.  Is this possible or does the FaderPort 8 only work with studio one?

The FaderPort series is designed to be used as DAW controllers. Currently neither the FaderPort 8 or FaderPort 16 have the capability of controlling Universal Control or any other program outside of a DAW that has Mackie MCU, Mackie HUI, or Native support for the FaderPort 8 and FaderPort 16.
