Guys, what is the *musical use* of the "don't follow" option?

I have had to start getting to grips with the tempo capabilities of S1_3 and I am pretty impressed, but, whilst I think I understand how they work mechanically, in the case of "don't follow", I don't see the musical value of the option. The only time I have ever used it is when tempo tapping to find the tempo of a clip I have imported. Is there something I am missing about "don't follow"?

Regards

Adrian

Follow keeps the start point of the event/part locked to bars when changing tempo. Don't follow doesn't. So when you want to keep an event at it's absolute position in time (or at samples or on frames), Don't follow is what you can use.
