I recently purchased the AudioBoxx iTwo that came with the interface, the mic and some headphones. When plugging in the mic and turning on phantom power i hear this constant clicking noise from the headphones. However, when i turn off phantom power it goes away and i've directly connected my guitar before and recorded with no problems. How do i get rid of this clicking noise? What's the problem?

Added Comment:

I changed the mic cable, tried various power sources besides my desktop, i tried the cable with my guitar and both cables and inputs work. i don't have the funds to buy a new mic to test it but i am thinking its due to a faulty phantom power source.

I have seen this before.

First possibility. In most cases this will happen if the Audiobox is being under powered. Check to make sure it is plugged directly into the computer or at the very least, into a POWERED USB hub.

Second possibility. Test with another Condenser Mic and see if the clicking is still there. If it is

Third possibility. Bad cable. Replace cable and test.

Fourth possibility. A faulty Phantom power on the Audiobox (which I have never seen but could happen)
