I record a guitar part.  I listen back and it plays for a second and cuts out. However, the track is still playing, but the audio I just recorded isn’t playing, but all other audio tracks are still audible. No plugins on anything, and all other tracks play fine.  Has me stumped.

Are your other tracks also audio tracks (or are they all Instrument tracks)?

What is your audio interface (sound card)?

Does the guitar track play back when you dis-arm it?

Can you see the wave form for the guitar track during the time for which you cannot hear it?

What happens if you begin playback a few seconds from the start (where it typically cuts out)?

If you export your song, can you hear the new guitar part all the way through?

Other tracks were instrument tracks, now that I look back.

The interface is a Scarlett 18i20

It does not matter whether the track is armed or disarmed. The waveform IS there. But I can monitor while recording also.

No matter where you start playback, it plays for a second and quits.

I did not try and export. I will give that a try.

I have to add a note* it hasn’t done this in a while. I think whatever was glitching out, worked itself out. Not sure.
