Greetings,

I have been a StudioLive 24.4.2 Classic user since its release, and mix on it every Sunday at my church. Recently a friend of mine has acquired the same model for his small church as a replacement to their aging analog mixer. He currently does not have a computer with firewire capabilities and I intend on bringing ours to help him set his board up (Smaart, etc). Will I run into any difficulty with my Universal Control recognizing his board, or will I have any issues with his board settings overwriting anything that will have adverse effects on me when I hook it back up to our mixer?

Universal Control does not operate like Apple's iTunes. There is no 'automatic sync' type effect.

UC is simply a software representation of the mixer itself, to which, this changes every time you connect a different mixer. It will only display 'that' mixer.

The only thing it will ask you to do, is update the Firmware, if the FW is out of date with the UC software itself.
