Hi everybody, hope one of you can help me
I’m trying to connect a DP88 to a Quantum but can’t seem to make it work. I have tried to follow the various hints I get from the user manuals, but it does not work. There is no signal from the microphones going through he DP88. At least that’s what the metering on the DP88 indicates and there is also no signals when I open my Logic Pro X
Until I got the DP88 I worked just with the Quantum and Logic Pro X and it all worked fine. Now, after trying to connect the DP88, it seems like I can pick from more than 30 inputs when I want to choose my audio sources, but none works.
I have done the following:
- I have connected them with ADAT cables as shown in the Quantum manual
- In Universal Control I have set the clock source on the quantum to be ADAT 1 and the sample rate at 44.1
- I’m using the latest version of the Universal Control software and I remebered to both disconnected power cables and Thunderbolt cabl after installation.
The 8 preamps on the DP88 seems to appeared in the Universal Control, When I press the ADAT button I can turn the levels up and down on the connected michrophones. (But still no signal)
My microphones are a Neumann TLM 102 (I have activated Phantom) and a Shure SM7B (No Phantom activated)
Is there a step by step guide to it somewhere? Do I also need to connect them with a BNC cable? Do I need to do the setup in a specific order? Is there something I miss to do?
As mentioned, I have gone through the manuals for the two devices but I’m relatively new to working with music, so there might be something obvious I’m missing or misunderstanding.
