Question

Newbie here... I have a Studiolive III 32 console and use Studio One 4. I have Presonus Eris powered speakers connected to the mains via XLR. In DAW mode, if I want to hear through the headphones (plugged directly into the mixer) but NOT through the speakers it seems that my only option is to reach around the back to the speakers and flip the power switches off. When you mute the mains it mutes everything. Is there any way to separate the signal between the headphones and speakers so I can temporarily mute the speakers?

Use the Monitor (Control Room) outputs.

This is exactly designed for Studio Monitoring. This has been a feature of every recording console and live consoles.

Switch your Monitoring Bus operation to 'CR' Mode. This will set the Monitor Output and Headphone output to listen to the Main Bus until you hit SOLO.
