Hi,  I bought an m-audio Oxygen 88 keyboard, not realising it had no external output to speakers.  It works through my PC, but I'd like to use it just with a synthisiser and speaker so I got myself an Audiobox USB.  I figured as it accepts MIDI in (the keyboard does MIDI out) and has outputs for speakers and headphones it would just work, but no joy.  I suspect I've bought the wrong product, but can anyone confirm whether the Audiobox USB can work how I want it to?  By the way, even keyboard > synth > speaker doesn't work, although PC (virtual keyboard) > synth > speaker does.

No. You need a connected PC to do what you explained. MIDI is just data. You would need a PC for the keyboard as a way to trigger sounds, and the AB does not work as a stand alone device.
