Phantom Button Lock

I've been thinking about the fact that the RM32 doesn't have proper line inputs and how that makes the whole "Phantom power thing" more dangerous, Presonus tell us that the mic inputs can accept line level signals properly, I have made a couple of tests with a multi-effects processor and some mic pres and for me it works, the problem is, what if I press the 48V inadvertently? it's pretty easy to do that on a touch screen and I don't want to think what could happen to my gear if that ever happens.

So why not include a Phantom lock feature in every channel? It could be on the channel options section under the pre/ post buttons, so if you don't activate it the +48V button works exactly like now but, if you activate this option (let say because you have plugged a keyboard directly into the Mic-In) the +48V button changes for a lock icon or something similar and you wouldn't be able to turn the phantom power unless you unlock the new button first, that would avoid the possibility of accidentally ruin your external gear by turning the Phantom on.
