Repeated Drops Outs

I did my first live gig with my Studio Live Series III 32SX and a pair of NSB 16.8s. I had certain channels repeatedly dropping out briefly over and over again. Channel 18 with an SM57 on an electric guitar amp and channel 19 with an SM57 on an acoustic guitar were particularly bad. At first I thought it might be a noise gate issue but even with the noise gates off it still happened. I checked the mics and cables and they are fine. I also haven't been able to duplicate the problem at home. I do know the line voltage at the gig was sagging, could that have caused this?

Voltage/electricity problems can affect a network and drop outs in two channels only is untypcial for "normal" network/clock problems. You will need to watch the behavior of your equipment if it happens again. At the moment I don't see the need for changing anything. Maybe it might be an idea to let your equipment run for several hours as a test.

The problem wasn't only two channels, just two channels were the worst.

I spoke to Presonus and they said the board isn't very sensitive to voltage but the stage boxes are. The fact that I can't duplicate the problem at home makes me think it was the voltage.

There is also a firmware update I applied yesterday.

I have a gig this weekend so we will see if the problems are gone with the firmware update and stable power.

I am also building power distribution boxes with voltage regulation so my whole system will be protected in the future plus I am putting all the digital stuff on UPSs
