Hell, this has just started for me. I have Studio One 4, and a Focusrite 18i8 interface. Well, when I try to record now I get a horrible feed back, Ok probably a feedback loop, but how do I fix it? I have uninstalled the interface device and uninstalled Studio One. The problem persists whether I use the Focusrite device or the on board sound controller. It would seem to me that if I do a clean install of everything, it should work like it did when I first installed. Thank you for any help

Sounds like a configuration setting where you've got "arming" a track linked with "monitoring" a track.

There is a little "wrench" icon above your tracks.

Look for "monitoring follows record".

This is not an installation issue, so don't keep re-installing.

Follow your audio path from where you plug in your microphone (Focusrite) to where the signal gets routed (your armed track AND your Focusrite hardware monitor).  Where is the Focusrite sending *its* output?  Back into Studio One?

Do you have Monitoring enabled?  Where is the output of the track going?
