I am setting up 12 tracks for my drums.  Everything is laid out in the order I want.

I select the 12 tracks in the Console view and click on the first track.

I should be able to somehow click on the first entry and have the rest of the inputs assigned in sequential order.

The Console page in the reference manual says we can do this:

"It is also possible to assign all selected Inputs or Outputs in ascending order based on the audio hardware configuration"

Okay Presonus.  How about telling us *how*?

I tried Ctrl+click, Alt+click, Shift+click as well as combinations of these three.

If anyone has found this, please share.

Hi. Im not sure this is what you need but you can try..

Click on the spanner icon and in the options play with the " Preserve order of channels with folder track"

It renumbers the faders, but maybe not how you want.

Thanks for writing, Tim.

(what does a "spanner" icon look like?)

I don't want to preserve the order, I want:

Kick: input 1
Snare: input 2
Hat: input 3
Tom 1: input 4
.
.
. and so on.

is that what you are describing?

  1. Set the desired input for the first track
  2. Select all of the tracks to be assigned
  3. Click on the input for the first track
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the dialog box
  5. Click on "Assign in Ascending Order"
