looking to buy a macbook to support recording and VSL.

i've found a macbook air that is reasonable, all the listed tech specs are met as far as OS, RAM, CPU, etc

my question is will the thunderbolt 2 interface work OK? i realize a converter will prob be required

also, will there be an issue of no ethernet port when trying to do VSL? will connecting to the wireless router wirelessley cause any issues

thx in advance

No. We do not recommend MacBook Air systems for recording realtime audio.

The MacBook Air falls into the same category as a Windows Netbook and is not a system we can heartily recommend for use with any of our Audio products, or anyone else's Audio professional audio products for that matter.

Customers having issues with this configuration may find better performance by moving to a different mobile Apple system, such as the MacBook Pro, designed for handling multi-channel audio and video processing. Even older versions of MacBook (non-Air) and MacBook Pro running Core 2 Duo processors (last made in mid-2011) would offer better performance.
