Studio One not responding every time I try to do anything

Every time I open Studio One, no matter what song or what plugins are loaded, the program freezes up. I go to my task manager and it says Studio One not responding. It doesn’t matter what I’m doing, I can’t use the program for more than 5 minutes. My only option is to reset my computer and try again. In the last week I have not been successful in doing anything at all in Studio One. Doesn’t matter if it’s a new song, or song I’ve already been working on. Doesn’t matter if there are plugins or virtual instruments or not. It freezes every time I load anything in Studio One.

This problem started when I upgraded to version 4.5, I now have Studio One 5 Pro and it’s up to date. This problem actually got worse after upgrading to version 5. Before upgrading it would run after restarting my computer, since I’ve upgraded to V5 I have not been able to do anything at all. The program will just not run.

I have an HP laptop with an i5 processor, 16gb of Ram, and have zero issues running other DAWS. Studio One is my preferred DAW, but I’ve been forced to start using Pro Tools again just to accomplish any work. Kind of sad when Pro Tools, which my computer just barely meets the minimum requirements for, runs with no issues. And Studio One, which I exceed the requirements for, will not run at all. I’m on the verge of just deleting Studio One, cancelling my Sphere membership, and moving on. I have deadlines and work to finish, and I need a DAW that I can actually rely on.

I have the same issue with both Studio One 4.5 and 5 on a brand new Dell Desktop, i9 processor, 32 GB ram.  I had 4.5 running with no issues on a 4 year old Lenovo laptop, so I'm pretty disappointed.

Same here I used to use Studio 1 on a Mac and since on Windows, it takes 45 seconds to verify the license (Ummm WTF)

I have deactivated all installs and started a fresh.

Eventually it may respond and I can work, but the start up time is ridiculous.

Having a lot of issues with Studio One 5.  Kontakt keeps crashing, takes forever for songs to load, can't even load Damage 2 without it crashing.  Getting disappointed with your product, Presonus.  I've spent a lot of money and my frustrations keep mounting.
