I'm hoping this is the right place to direct my query. For a DAW I am using Logic Pro X on a 2015 iMac with 32 GB of RAM.
I have a PreSonus AudioBox iTwo that has worked splendidly for recording guitar and bass. I attempted to record vocals and here's were things went sideways.
When I plugged in the headphones to the interface, the audio output switched from the AudfioBox back to the onboard speaker systems in my Mac. It does the same thing when I am just listening to Spotify. I plug into the jack with my headphones and the audio kicks back to the onboard speakers. Thus, the issue is with the interface and not the DAW. Trouble is, I don't quite know how to solve this issue, and I cannot record vocals without headphones. If I use the onboard output for headphones, I get really bad latency, and when I set the buffer rate low, my project file sounds like it's dying a painful horrible death.
I'm at a standstill until I can figure this out.
