Soft takeover requested for external controllers

As asked in #632262 a funktion called "soft takeover" would be useful so that external MIDI controllers could be better integrated in a plugin workflow. Currently parameter values are jumping when you are switching between mouse control and encoder control on an external MIDI controller.

The Presonus controllers and the remote control software are working fine but external controllers from other companies are "jumping".

Well, I’m not sure how many people see the issue here. The system works fine when using a StudioLive Mixer with programmable encoders or an Atom Controller. I think they might use a different protocol compared to external MIDI controllers for transmitting the data into the DAW.

But if you would like more controls then a surface like the Midifighter Twister with sixteen encoders might be very useful. All 16 encoders are available in four banks. Additionally I can send one parameter on normal rotation. When you press an encoder and rotate the it the device can send a different MIDI message compared to the unpressed status. And the encoders can send out a third Midi switch parameter just when you press the encoder. Also it has a "Super-Knob" option where an additional second parameter is activated when you reach a predefined value on the first parameter.
