No signal showing in VU Meter! Logic Prol X Mojave 10.14.6

I place the VU meter on a channel strip and press play. There is no change to the meter at all. Ive added it to all the channel strips in my DAW and still no signal showing up! Please advise

same here in Logic Pro X MacOsX 10.13.6. I will deinstall it and use the waves again.
