When I use my mic, I only hear the sound on 1 side on my headphones. Also when recorded, the playback of voice recorded by the mic is only on one side.

I use an audio interface with 2 inputs. Input one only gives sound on the left. And when connected to input 2, I only hear sound on the right.

Any idea what could cause this issue? I would assume, that connecting the mic to 1 input and adding a stereo track in Studio One, would lead to stereo playback/recording..... I'm puzzled.

Any help is highly appreciated.

You are recording a stereo track. But a stereo track has two channels left and right and you're only inputting one of them. So for your microphone, use a mono track and it will be centered (you will hear it in both ears, unless panning is moved off center). You can send the mono track to a stereo track for further processing if you like afterwards.
