I bought a new Audiobox iOne this week but when recording, I get constant noise (-40db to -24db) which makes quality recording impossible.
I tried it with 2 different microphones:
- Rode M3 (using the 48V phantom power)
- Sennheiser e845
I used multiple XLR cables to make sure it is not caused by a faulty cable. No difference.
I tried it on 2 macbook pro's (2012 version with macOS 10.15.7 and 2019 version with macOS 11.2.3) and 1 windows 10 machine. Unfortunately all machines that have USB 3 ports only. No difference.
I tried a different USB cable than the one delivered with the AudioBox. No difference.
All configurations suffer from the same noise levels making recordings worthless. I'm about to return the Audiobox back to the shop.
