Is there a better explanation out there regarding the routing/patching in Universal Control than the manual?

Hi Folks,

I tried as best I could to do my homework beforehand....but I think the manuals for the SLIII and Universal Control really skimp on the details of the patching/routing functions. I'm an active manual reader so I like to think I've had enough experience dealing with good ones and bad ones in my hardware/software journey....I'm coming up empty here.

I have a Line 6 Helix Rack that I'm trying to patch in via USB and I cannot get signal through Universal Control. I'm 99% certain it's not routing on the Helix, 95% sure it's not Audio/MIDI settings in Mac OS...because I'm having success in ProTools, it's working fine.

So, it's probably something in the Digital Patching....given the limited coverage in the manual I've had to follow my nose and ensure the channel is set to USB input, then go to routing and make sure USB 1/2 is designated as the input, etc, but the deeper you need to go, the more inadequate the factory manual becomes.

It shouldn't be this difficult....I'm missing SOMETHING, I know. But the manual is kinda useless here....

Has anyone posted a better resource (via YouTube, a pdf, a forum, etc) that fills in the empty pages of the digital patching functions?

(By the way, this is not the first time I hit a wall in UC....getting the FX worked out and audible in the Aux was another PITA...but these forums came to the rescue and I'm thankful.)

Thanks for your help.

Did you get an answer. I'm also looking for a manual for the Universal Controller.
