Question

I can see my SL 16.4.2 on my iPad but cannot connect to my 16.4.2.  Am I not running to right software?

The highest version of  Universal Control that works with your first generation StudioLive mixer is UC 1.7.4.

Not sure what OS you are on:

As of Mac OS X 10.10, we no longer support ad-hoc networking.

You will need to connect your Mac or PC to a router, then connect your iPad to the same router.

Then your StudioLive 16.4.2 will show up correctly.
