It would be a much safer to use the rack mount mixer on the stage as the actual mixer and the console as a controller. If the power or the avb connection to the console would be disconnected, you could continue the show without interruptions with an ipad or another remote device. In crouded venues, It is not unlikely that someone would tumble over the chords or spill their drink on the console ect.
