Question

The global Ruler Track in S1 always appears right below the primary timebase/transport ruler, and since both have the exact same color, it becomes quite difficult at times to visually distinguish between the two. 

Allowing the user to select a custom color for the Ruler Track would make it much easier to identify between the two rulers and a whole lot less confusing.

Yes please, we need this coming from PT. The timebase rulers are already non-distinct at a glance just by their design, adding colourization would immediately help to become more readable.
