Can some one from Presonus or expert users from the forum please help. I have recently switched from ProTools 12.5 to StudioOne3 last week after reading great reviews about StudioOne. I had grown continually frustrations with ProTools especially with the constant CPU and Memory error messages even with simple vocal recording with zero plugins. It became impossible to write songs efficiently.
Having installed StudioOne i am now experiencing CPU max out issues aswell, the spikes are happening even with just one instance of the Virtual Instrument through receiving input from my Yamaha P105 dititgal piano. Very simple setup. Playing just a few notes of presenceX in piano mode or even trying Mai Tai for just a few seconds causes glitches and CPU spikes that range from 10-100% very wildly from moment to the next preventing the VI being useable. I have tried changing buffer size from 64-1024, changed the engine from 32 to 64bit in the options and various settings regarding the number of Core processors but there is no single setting that makes VI useable and stable. Very frustrated, now even thinking of switching to logic pro x. According to the tech spec, the software and VI should be able to run on this macbook pro above spec.
Can someone please help? Having switched to StudioOne and now experience CPU issues just as in pro tools is so frustrating, even with a very simple setup like this.
