How to cure clicks and pops that spontaneously appear in the bounce

I have an audio track made up of audio clips that fade in and out from eachother, creating a continuous audio file. They all have fades i.e there is not a single piece of audio that doesnt fade in and out from one audio clip to the next. They also don't clip the master fader, not even close. It sounds perfectly smooth during playback in Studio One.

However, when I bounce this track (made up of little parts) to one long, new audio file, this new bounce has pops in it. I can't see why. I have tried bouncing in realtime, bouncing offline, merging the file first before bouncing...

Could anyone help me solve this problem and tell me why it happens? Computer specs below in case it's relevant.
Thanks!

  • Intel Cor i7 4 GHz, 32 GB RAM
  • Windows 10 Pro, 64 Bit (kept up to date but NOT the creators update)
  • Studio One v3 Pro (up to date)
  • Focusrite Scarlett Solo audio driver (driver up to date)

Have you tried adjusting your the block size in your preference?

@alexanderjohnstone - yes I have. The block size options that I have are 32 - 256 samples (the drop down, although showing higher values, won't select them if I click on them) with single (32-Bit) and double (64-bit) processing. Changing these options don't have an impact on the bounce.

Any other ideas?

You can change block sizes whatever you want but the f*cker keeps creating ticks. This is totally ridiculous and renders this piece of software to be tossed in the bin. If it could be flushed through the toilet I would rather do that.

I NEVER had this with ProTools nor Logic and will stop using this nightmare DAW immediately for mixing. What a disappointment and waste of money, after using this just for 2 CD projects.
