When I was using my FX8370 based system I could use my StudioBox 44VSL with Studio One and other apps at the same time.  Specifically I like to stream Xfinity TV in Microsoft Edge while noodling on my guitar.  I upgraded my system to a Ryzen 1400 chip(new MB, Ram, CPU) and everything seemed to work well.  The performance of the 1400 wasn't much of an improvement over the FX8370 so I bumped it up to a 1600x.  Now it doesn't work.  I have tried a reset of Windows 10 Pro where before I had just swapped the hardware and let Windows figure it all out (again, that worked for the 1400) but it didn't help.  I am also having problems with the system waking from sleep--takes forever (several minutes anyway--faster to just reboot.)  FYI--I am not over-clocking CPU/RAM/GPU just out-of-the-box settings for now.

I tried checking the option to have Studio One release the interface when it's not in focus.  I does give it up the interface but the other applications still won't use it.  This isn't really what I want anyway.  Before it would just mix all audio together.

Also, I am having trouble getting Studio One to recognize third party plugins.  Specifically Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5 Pro and Toontrack EZ Mix.  Not sure what's going on there.

I figure this is just Ryzen growing pains so I will probably reinstall my FX gear for now but, if anyone has any ideas, let me know.

Thanks

Hardware: Gigabyte Aorus AX370-Gaming K5 Motherboard, 16gig Crucial Ballistix DDR4 2400 RAM, AMD Ryzen 1600X, XFX Radeon RX 480 8gig GPU.  All firmware, BIOS, etc. up to date, Windows 10 Pro up to date.

Jamesrhone1's answer did the trick for sharing the device with all apps.  For the plugins I just had to update the paths to the plugins in the Locations setting.  Many thanks to Jamesrhone1!

Sorry to hear about the recent issues you have been experiencing.

You will need to go in to Windows Sound control panel for Playback devices. Select the AudioBox there, right click and choose Properties > Advanced Tab. Make sure the sample rate here is exactly the same as what you have in Universal Control/Studio One.  If there is a mismatch here, this issue will happen.

For performance issues; please make sure Windows is optimized: https://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/articles/pc-optimization-guide-for-windows-10/
