updated firmware on 1642 AI. I have a backup stored in Universal Control AI, but when I click it and press restore, it starts loading, gets right to the end, but then UC closes and message "UC quit unexpectedly" appears. Any idea how I can get my backup loaded?

Try performing a factory reset to see if it can resolve your issue:
