StudioLive 32SC - will mixer be harmed if shut off without doing the 'soft power off' feature?

The SL III 32SC has a 'soft power' function in the Main menu screen that says "This will prepare the mixer to be powered off".  Is it OK to power off without using that feature first?   Also, is it safe to turn it on and off using an external switched power strip? Our old analog mixer was plugged into a switched power strip along with some other gear, and our volunteers are used to turning everything on and off with one switch. I need to know whether that would be a problem with this mixer. Thanks.

You do not have to use it. There will be no harm to the mixer.
