When I'm recording in S1 and if I open UAD console to adjust the preamp then the recording stops. similarly with playback if i open safari the playback stops too this was never a problem before in 5.1

This is happening with me too and it's a SERIOUS problem for my workflow and for my job as a music teacher with Zoom lessons.

Presonus is ruining its good name with these updates. There needs to be a beta system or something to weed this **** out. Getting very, VERY frustrated not knowing if I can trust that an update isn't gonna ruin things.

Seriously guys, let's get a fix for this ASAP.

In S1 go to the Help menu > Open Settings Folder, go to x64. Backup AudioEngine.settings just in case. Rename or delete file. Restart S1. Issue should be resolve then.

the deleted file or renamed file gets replaced automatically.

It works for me. After deleting AudioEngine.settings S1 make the new one, and with the new one S1 stops losing audio device when switching between programs (reason for playback stopping). 10.15.7

On StudioOne's Start Page, select Configure Audio Device and uncheck the option to 'Release audio device in background.'
