Will the 16.4.2 AI universal audio download work with the Non AI version?

I have new to me 2015 Imac, running High Sierra. Hooked up firewire 400 out of Presonus 16.4.2 firewire 400 to 800 adapter cable. I assume I need to download Universal Control but the only download on Persons site is for AI version. will it work for my NON AI mixer? also will it work if I upgraded to Mojave?

You need to use Universal Control v1.7.6
