Studio One 6 seemed to add functionality for this for some plugins, but it still doesn't work with Maschine.
This was asked for a lot over the years in this old Feature Request, which was marked closed as Answered -- even though Maschine isn't supported by the way this feature was added.
I can route audio into my Maschine and start sampling within 30 seconds of starting a project in Ableton 9 or Reaper -- it's frustrating that such a workflow is blocked by what seem to be arbitrary limitations.
