I have several requests that are relating to arranging and performing, so I am grouping them together in this request.
Studio One Arranger track
- The arranger track should have predefined section names: Intro, Verse, Chorus, etc. It should not be required to manually type or paste the name of each and every section. Allow us to select them from a list. Also, it would be great, if we could edit that list, globally.
- We should be able to assign colors to the predefined section names: Intro = red, Verse = blue, etc. It takes too much time to assign these colors to each and every section. We should also be able to override the colors in the case of consecutive sections.
- If you add each section manually, Studio One will auto-color the new sections. However, the auto colors are very similar to each other. For example, the first section is blue. The second section is lighter blue. The third section is cyan. The fourth section is light green, and so on. There should be more contrast between each section such as: section one is blue, section two is pink, section three is orange, section four is cyan, and so on around the color wheel. We are not looking for a pretty gradient, we are looking for contrast between sections.
Studio One Remote Show Perform mode
- In Show mode, the current set list item is selected, but may not be visible. If you want to select the next song in a long list, you may have to scroll quite a bit down. (We have around 50-60 songs in a single performance.)
- In addition to the setlist dropdown in the top right of the window, the set list item name (song title) should open the setlist menu.
- On the sections page, once you select a section to jump to, you can't unselect it. For example, while section A is playing, I tap section D. Section D starts flashing. I change my mind and want to cancel that. To cancel it, I have to select another section. That requires too much attention. We should just be able to tap the section that is flashing.
- Next to the current set list item name, it would be nice to have Next/Previous buttons to jump to other songs without having to open the menu.
- The show page currently shows the progress of the song similar to karaoke/bouncing ball. You only see a bit of what's coming up. I would like the option of seeing the entire song scaled to fit the width of the device, and the playhead would move across the window.
- I would like the ability to increase the height of the arranger/chord/etc tracks in perform mode.
