Updated to Universal Control 3.1.1 this morning and I've been in hell ever since.

Studio 192 was working flawlessly up until then. After update and restart, the UC tray icon was greyed and clicking on it only brought up the top half of the dialogue box where the product banner is but no icon for my interface/software mixer below it as it normally shows. Also, firmware update option in the menu is greyed (I'm assuming because it doesn't see the 192).

Tried everything I know; uninstall and reinstall new version, uninstall and reinstall previous version, downloaded ASIO4ALL but can't, for the life of me, figure out how to get it to work with the 192 so I'm gonna assume it doesn't (think that's a WDM thing).

At my wit's end and would greatly appreciate any help from anyone who has been through this. Looking for an advanced remedy as I think there may be some ghosty bits leftover from the original install or something. I'm not sure what but this is really throwing a monkey wrench into my flow. After every headache I've experienced in the past when doing this, I should have known better than to update right in the middle of a project but I've literally NEVER had a problem updating any software from PreSonus until now.

Also, Windows 10 keeps sending me an update that fails to install correctly time and again. I'm wondering if this has anything to do with it.

Help me, PreSonus user community! You're my only hope... sad

Windows 10 Pro x64 v1903 OS build 18362.388 / Intel Core i5 8600K @ 3.6GHz (6 cores) / 16GB RAM / PreSonus Studio 192 USB 3.0 (firmware updated) / Universal Control 3.1.1 / Studio One Pro 4.5.4.54067

I have the same problem. Everything was working fine, I installed the latest update and universal Control doesn't see my studio 1824C … I also tried uninstalling, and reinstalling the older version but still not recognizing my studio 1824C.

Same here. May I ask which was the last working version of the UC you were using before it all went south? If you can recall, you can download any previous versions at the "support" site, maybe it'll help, I'm going to try. I actually had it working with Reaper, which recognized the "studio 192" ASIO, it worked very well until I had a problem with faders not adjusting volume on tracks 3 and 4, upgraded to the July 7, 2020 version. Now it's absolute ****, and the new version wiped out the studio 192 ASIO. Wish I had a real answer, just spit balling here, which is apparently a better effort than Presonus "support" is making. Thank you, Jeff.

I have had the same thing happen and ever since then I have been in a total work around mode until now I am stuck and waiting for technical support. You cant contact Presonus live...only via email at which time they ask you the same rudimentary questions...serial number to the unit..operating system..etc.  The support is horrible.  Sweetwater Music and Obedia.com have been great however up to this point stymied as to why Universal Control is in Bypass mode when using Studio one as your DAW. Headphone Jacks...in operative..Speaker A/B effed up...and recording now has horrible latency issues through this audio interface. I have one more online session scheduled to try and figure this hot mess out and then I am buying another audio interface from another company with stronger support. I loved Presonus. I have their Septre 6 Monitors, Studio 192 and had no problems until a  few months ago with their update. Since then a lot of lost time and money and no real solutions and answers as to what happened.
