I just bought a Presonus Audiobox usb 96. I am using macbook pro 2018. The sound from main line is great but the sound from headphones is distorted. Specially when I am using to listen anything from computer (video or music file) the sound is full of digital distortion sounds and sometimes its hard to understand talk overs.

- I restart the system. I changed the usb port nothing has changed

I am experiencing the same thing no matter what the audio source. I have found others who recommended reducing the bit rate to 44.1 and the block size. I was already at 44.1 and reducing the block size didn't help.

I am using BeyerDynamic DT 990 Pro (250 Ohm) headphones.

They worked great on my Focusrite Scarlett Solo and all my other devices.

What is the fix for this?

EDIT:  I have checked and have USB3.0 ports that have updated drivers.  It seems that when I turn down the input and output volumes it goes away, but that doesn't seem to be the right solution. It is one thing to have clipping but this seems like the AudioBox USB96 is not keeping up with technology.
