We often have more performers than FlexMixes, the number of inputs is not a problem. We would still be able to provide effective in-ear monitoring if it was possible to route an input signal directly to an output without using a FlexMix, for example sending the main mix to one ear and the individual's instrument signal to the other, allowing the performer to hear both flawlessley like standing between 2 speakers and save a FlexMix. Having just 1 signal per FlexMix is not resource effective. There are more than enough inputs and outputs to serve all performers, but not enough FlexMixes to give each a unique in-ear signal solution.
