Question

I was fiddling with the tempo on a song I was creating, when suddenly the 1818 started to emit a very high pitch squeal through the monitors, I tried to mute etc. but ended up having to switch it off. Now it wont sync with the computer. the output led's were at maximum! any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Sounds like a problem with the unit itself. If you haven't already done so I suggest you open a support ticket. Presonus can repair your 1818 for a flat fee....$85 I believe....this also gets you an additional 1 year warranty.
