With my template loaded of about 700 instrument tracks (all unused tracks and effects disabled ) S1 takes 30 - 40 seconds if I switch from one track to another while in solo. However if I solo the next track to before switching there is no delay but I then I have to turn off solo on the first track. It also takes 15-20 seconds just to unsolo all the track/s. Tracks and plugins that are not used are disabled and plugin nap is enabled. So @44.1k I'm only using 12% CPU usage, and 130gb RAM usage. I try to avoid transforming instrument tracks to audio as then saving time takes FOREVER.
Example:
Same song file only with a lot of the disabled tracks removed:
My system isn't a low spec system.
Processor Intel i9-10940X CPU @ 3.30GHz 14 core 28 threads
Installed RAM 256 GB (256 GB usable)
Samples libraries are spread across multiple 4 SSD's, 2 m.2 drives
2 external HDDs for song backups, presets, etc.
Windows 10 Pro
Things I've tried to correct it.
Updating to Windows 11
Reorganizing all my SSD's and sample libraires to a single drive of pooled storage using Stablebit Drive Pool
Using Process Lasso to have S1 use physical cores first before threads
Process Lasso to set CPU and I/O priority to High for S1, Focusrite, and audiodg.exe
Kontakt set DFD to 18
Installed S1 update to v 6.2
And with all of that it switches with with audio dropouts and glitches but is slightly faster.
Anyone else encounter these issues?
