Please consider adding an audio scrub function and tie it to the shuttle wheel and keyboard arrows. Also provide a shortcut to turn it on and off or ability to create a shortcut

Thank you.

I would really appreciate this, with support on Faderport II :-)

5 years on after leaving Pro Tools and I can't believe there is STILL no scrub tool. It's such a useful tool for finding minute glitches very quickly. In PT I would have zoomed right in, scrubbed it, found it, edited it very quickly. Come on Presonus.... you're making Pro Tools look good!

Please, developers. We need a tool ( Scrub tool ), for a more detailed work in Studio one. I want to scroll the mouse wheel back and forth, listen and detect clicks, artifacts, etc.

Apart from the added precision. It's a very satisfying and  tactile (I can't think of an audio equilavent word) experience to move across your audio and edit or otherwise manipulate whilst using scrubbing, it's good for creative sound design too. I also feel kind of sad, that we only can do this visually + guess, or machine driven at the moment. I think as it's a DAW, we should be able to do it primarily by ear. Sound is what we are all here for.  I have always found scrubbing fun too :D. And I miss using these skills too. I feel we are missing a positive, enjoyable experience without it too. Please create a proper scrubbing tool.

6 years since the first request here, and still one of the most fundamental tools of a respectable DAW is missing.

Yet lots of other, less important, features keep being added.

PLEASE let's have a movable/scrub cursor.

I like S1 very much, but missing such basics are sad. I keep a copy of the free Cakewalk (formerly Sonar) on my desktop. Sonar has a scrub tool. I need it for precision tape-style audio editing for broadcasts and videos. It also allows you to import any file format including .wma.  Cakewalk will also allow you to open any audio clip in any other external audio editor and then automatically bring it back in when your finished.

Especially for video production, being able to scrub frame by frame can save a lot of time when you're trying to time things precisely.
